At CasaTerra Patris, we treat sustainability serious. We understand that we are part of the problem as we decided to build our pousada here, bringing and developing the tourism in Barra Grande do Piauí.

Our values include always improve our procedures and start new ways to collaborate to the ​sustainable development ​of tourism here.

So we can better manage and generate the less possibility of trash, we use the following procedures in our Pousada:

• Free gallons of water​ available;
• Composting of fruits and vegetables;
• Storage and use of rainwater;
• The building was made respecting the native trees, using local labor and local construction materials;
• Ecological toilets that use less water;
• Doors & windows with individual openings, that allow natural ventilation;
• New equipment, all low energy consumption;
• Decor made with local items from Pia​uí;
• Lightning made with LED or economic, besides sensors;
• Reusable amenities packages on the restrooms;
• Recycled paper in all our press material;
• Towels and Linen reuse program;
• Local labor is always preferred;
• Sustainability Certification.
