We love animals and we believe that they should be treated as they deserve Here at Terra Patris! we treat your pet like a real guest!
Traveling with your pet should be an unforgettable experience, both for you and your pet. Therefore, we receive pets with their owners, so that they can have the opportunity to get to know the beach and also feel a little bit of the freedom that our pets Lady and Chita, have here at the inn.
We understand that he is part of your family, but watch out for some tips for the coexistence of pets at the inn and enjoy your stay with your best friend!
Tips for a quiet stay with your pet (s)
Encourage interaction with our pets! Lady is super docile and accustomed to pet guests. In the beginning, let them smell each other, this will make it easier to live on the days when you stay with us.
> If they are strange, do not be alarmed. It is normal, just that the owners do not give much attention. Soon they will be used to each other's presence.
> To avoid disagreements between them (especially on the first day), always walk with your pet on the leash. Take your pet for a walk around the inn and identify with the place.
To non-neutered male pets: be aware of their need to "demarcate territory" by peeing. We ask that you help with the cleaning of our hotel!
> Your pet's other needs must also be collected from the land. In case you need, we have plastic bags to collect the animal's feces and trash cans scattered around the inn.
Your pet can (and should!) Stay inside your room with you. However, items made available to guests (such as bed linen and towels) should not be used for him. We also suggest that you bring your own bed, thus preventing him from getting on the bed. If this rule is not respected, a fee of R $ 50 per day will be charged to cover the costs of cleaning and maintenance.
> If you want to bathe your pet, we recommend that you use one of the external hoses, located in the entrance shower or near the gazebo (next to the sightseeing tower).
The pool is for the exclusive use of human guests, for reasons of cleanliness and hygiene.
Due to the height of the lookout, the danger of falling and the difficulty to climb, we recommend that your pet is not taken up there.
> Barra Grande is super pet friendly! You and your friend will be welcome in almost all establishments, as well as on the beach. Pay attention only to always keep it on a leash and respecting the cleanliness of the place. The plastic bags in the bag are always a good idea!
Since your pet has the opportunity to walk you through the city, please do not leave him alone in the room. They are sad and often barking and/or crying, which can annoy other guests (in addition to making us worried about him!).
> We have two cats (Mio and Chita) living at the inn, but when we have guest dogs, they usually hide in our house, which is in the back. Just be careful that your pet does not get there, cats can be aggressive if they feel threatened by it.
100% of the time we host pets, they were dogs, from small (shitzu, llhasa, yorkshire) to large (labrador, golden retrivier, chow chow). We never had the opportunity to host cats. In our view, it is a little more difficult to keep cats calm in a totally new environment (and with dogs!), So we recommend that you think carefully and analyze all the possibilities before traveling with your cat.
Do you love animals as we do?
Enjoy and contribute to Barra Pet, a social project that takes care of street animals in Barra Grande!
Barra Pet acts mainly to encourage the castration of pets in the village, to contain the increase in the number of abandoned animals or in situations of neglect. With social actions alone, we have already castrated more than 100 animals in Barra Grande!
We also help animals in urgent situations, assist families that cannot afford to care for their animals, and promote information in the village on animal rights, as well as castration efforts at cost.
There are donation collection cans scattered throughout the establishments in the city or you can make your donation directly to us.
Any help is always welcome! Thank you!
