What is included in Terra Patris! rate?
Our rate includes your accommodation in one of our 3 Bungalows or 3 Rooms, all of them equipped with LCD 32” TV, stocked mini bar (beverages and snacks not included in the rate), digital safe, hot shower. WiFi internet available in all areas of Terra Patris.
From 2020 , the breakfast is NOT included. Please see our services page to see how can we help you with your meals.
What is the maximum capacity of each bungalow?
All our bungalows are double, so maximum 2 people. We have two bungalows with a Queen Size bed and a bungalow with two single beds (that can form a King Size bed, upon request). It is not possible to adapt extra mattress or hammocks in the rooms. We offer comfort to our guests, so no exceptions will be made.
How many children can sleep in Terra Patris? Do I have to pay any additional?
Since now we are renting the whole place for you and your family, You can bring your children. But, note that our place has an observation tower and a swimming pool with no access restriction. Children MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at all time.
Does the pousada accept animals?
Yes, but you should advise us before so you can get authorization to bring your pet. It is always a great time when people bring their pets! (*) Costs may apply.
TRANSPORTATION
How can I get to Terra Patris! from the main airports and bus stations?
You have many options to travel to Barra Grande and the region. Follow the instructions in our Location guide. For our guests, we offer the service of scheduling taxis and bus tickets, no commission charged (only taxes applied by the companies, when they exist).
Do I need a car to move around Barra Grande?
Depends. If you have a good condition for walking in the sand, it is not necessary to use a car in Barra Grande. Terra Patris! is located on the east side of the village and the distance until the west side is approximately 1 km. The car is useful when you plan to travel around the region, such as the beaches of Luís Correia and Cajueiro da Praia or the Delta do Rio Parnaíba. But, if you are more used to the car and don’t like to walk, maybe you better come with a car.

What can we do in Terra Patris! Atellier Pousada?
Terra Patris has a private pool for guests, lots of board games, WiFi internet available in the common area and inside the rooms.
What can we do around the pousada?
The pousada is located in Barra Grande beach, on the coast of Piauí state. You can find eco-tours, such as the sea horse and the manatee and mangrove tour. There is also the possibility to go to the Delta of America – or Delta do Rio Parnaíba – and Jericoacoara during your stay in Terra Patris! Atelier Pousada. You can also learn to kitesurf or practice stand up paddle in the mangrove, besides having the beach to enjoy.
BOOKINGS
How can I make a booking?
1 – Use our online reservation system that is located in the left corner of the website. Select your check-in and check-out dates, and quantity of people per room. Click on “Book Now” to verify availability at the selected dates.
2 – The information on availability will be shown on the next page. Observation: if none of the bungalows are available, a message “None of the rooms is available on the requested period” will be shown. To change the dates of your stay, use the form right below the message to modify the dates of your stay.
3 – When you find the availability, select the bungalow and click on the “Select” button. Confirm by clicking on the “Continue” button on the pop-up window that will open on your computer.
4 – Check the pictures and information of the chosen bungalow. Choose the rate according to your needs (promotional - no cancellation refund – or flexible – cancellation up to 2 days before arrival) and order the honeymoon package if you wish. Escolha a tarifa entre as disponíveis (promo – sem direito a cancelamento – ou flexível – cancelamento até 2 dias antes do check-in) e opte, caso queira, pelo pacote de lua-de-mel. After you check all the information, click on “Book Now” button.
5 – Fill the data requested for the booking and select the payment method between PayPal (international) and Pagseguro (only available for Brazilians or Brazil citizens). Click on “Confirm Order” to proceed with the reservation.
6 – Check all the information in your booking and proceed with the payment by clicking on the “Pay now” button at the end of the page. In case you prefer to use other method of payment, get in touch with us to check other available options. We remind you that the pre-booking is only valid for 24 hours and it is only confirmed after the 50% total value payment.
7 – After we identify your payment, you will receive a confirmation email of your booking.

RATES
How the rates are established?
Our rates are modified during the year, depending on the period and pousada’s occupation. Always check the rates valid for your trip dates.
I have made a pre-booking last week, but ended up not making the payment. Can I book it again with the same rate value?
Possibly no, because the rates can be changed or the room can be already booked by other person, as the pre-booking is only valid for 24 hours. When the payment is not made until the valid date, your booking is automatically cancelled. However, contact us and we will analyze your request.
What is the difference between the rates?
Promotional Rate: lower price, but you can’t modify the dates of the stay. In case you want a cancellation, the 50% deposit will not be refunded.
Flexible Rate: you can modify the dates of your stay up to 10 days before planned arrival.
Observation: we also prefer when you change the dates of your stay instead of cancelling. Contact us so we can help you find a better period for your stay at Terra Patris!
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT POLICIES
What is the check-in and check-out time of Terra Patris?
By default, the daily rates initiate Pay 2pm and end at noon (12pm).
In case we need to Early Check-in or Late Check-out, how it works?
For Early Check-in (from 6am) and Late Check-out (up to 6pm) will be charged half of the daily rate price, when available.
PAYMENT
What are the payment methods?
Cash (BRL, USD or EUR), international credit or debit cards (Visa, Master, Amex, Elo), PayPal, PagSeguro and bank transfer/deposit.
What is the deadline for the booking payment?
You have up to 24 (twenty four) hours after the booking to confirm your payment.
I have already made the payment, when will I receive the booking confirmation?
When done by PayPal or Pagseguro, normally if will take a maximum of 24 hours to confirm your payment. As soon as we identify your payment, we will send you a confirmation email.
The 24 hours deadline has passed, but I couldn’t make the payment, what should I do?
Your booking will be automatically canceled. If you want to maintain your booking for the dates and the room, please contact us immediately.
CANCELLATION & CHANGES IN YOUR BOOKING
What is the policy for cancellations and changes in my booking?
In case you have to change your travel plans, we kindly ask you to contact us immediately so we can verify the availability on another period. You can only change your booking when you choose the flexible rate in your booking and only up to 2 days before arrival. For the promotional rate, it will not be possible to change the dates or have a refund. For more information, check our Hospitality Policy.
