A little about our history and beliefs in our way to say good morning!

Our breakfast at Terra Patris! Atellier Pousada is made thinking on all the details to start your day the best possible way.

For us the breakfast is more than the first meal of the day. We want to give our guests a bit of our beliefs, values, routine and history. That is why we take our time during breakfast to talk, tell and enjoy the beginning of the day in a tranquil and inspiring way, preparing for the adventurous day that comes ahead.

In order to assure you can rest with no time concerns in your valuable day-offs, our breakfast is served from 8 am until the time you wake up. Why not take some extras hours sleeping in this silent place? The swing of the natural carnauba roof give the impression of rain drops, what invites you even more to take a guiltless nap!

When decided to wake up, you will see the table set for your breakfast in our oca, with colorful plates and cups with Marco’s drawings. All the guests seat together, so you can share experiences and meet new friends, making your travel to Barra Grande even more memorable. Soft and good background music, birds singing and the breeze in a sunny morning. 

On our bar counter we serve the breakfast in a buffet style, with our healthy choices to start your day. Some of them:

Juices and fresh fruits: we always prefer fruits and vegetables bought in the small markets of Barra Grande, to encourage the local trade. Our garden provides us some fruits (like the native cashew) depending on the time of the year and also mint and kale, that we use for juices. The flavors of the juices are always different, to test your palate to new mixtures. Some examples of our colorful and healthy juices are the yellow (made with mango and passion fruit), pink (with beet) and green juice (with kale, mint and ginger).

Coffee: as we are Brazilian and “paulistas” (people that come from the state of São Paulo), that absolute love coffee and drink it all day long, we had to make some effort to guarantee a good coffee in our breakfast. After some research and tests, we could find a perfect and regional brand for our everyday coffee, which is made in an Italian coffee maker, to improve the flavor. For those who prefer an expresso or even a cup of tea, you can just ask us!

Honey: our honey comes from the state (Piauí) production (mainly organic).

Granola: our granola is made in the pousada, with grains and seeds, without any conservatives and sweetened with just a little of brown sugar.

Breads: a selection that mix bread from the local bakery with other made in the pousada, like the whole grain bread, gluten free seed bread and the famous cheese and sweet potato bread.

Cakes and sweets: there is always a special treat cooked by Nath, to make a sweet start for your day. We love to test new recipes! The most wanted are the brownie and the banana muffins.

Ham, cheese, jams, yogurt: Everything is stored in a mini fridge, to maintain the items fresh in the hot weather.

Eggs: our eggs arrive weekly from Vevé’s farm, a little farmer that growns free range chicken for their eggs. You can ask for your eggs in many ways (scrambled, fried, cooked, as an omelet or crepe) we do it upon request!

Tapioca: typical regional dish, made you yucca flour (gluten free) like a crepe or pancake. We are tapioca lovers! We serve them really thin, with the filling you prefer (eggs, ham, cheese, butter, Nutella, jam…) also made upon request for your breakfast.

We are always testing and experimenting in our kitchen!
